Song in a Minor Key By Felix Stefanile

The ant, successful archeologist,
discovers temples where the ruin lies;
the sparrow, of all birds, the hardiest,
sings among the stones, where no grass is.

And thus the Queen of Poverty takes reign,
and Orpheus calls music from the stone;
there is a meaning here I must make plain,
for I have dust, and music in my bones.
