Ad Poetam By Felix Pollak

Never say light:
you can’t see
it,
only
by it:
what it
lights up:
the flow and
its shadow.
Each
poem
is
a
try
to
keep
a
now
for
then.
It is useless to tell
your sadness
or joy.
All you can do
(if you can) is
to make as sad
or joyous as
you are.
